Reso-Care for Seniors

I’m tired of seeing the older generation suffering from lack of confidence, strength and hope. I am equally frustrated by seeing their children giving up on them too quickly. The nursing homes are full and many rehabilitation centers are more interested in numbers than quality care, so I decided to help bridge the gap between healthcare and fitness with Reso-Care.

Why Reso-Care for Seniors?

Senior citizens are the fastest growing demographic in the US today. No other population suffers more from rehabilitation atrophy, a general fitness deficit, or a lack of confidence than those over the age of 65. There may be no better vehicle than exercise programs for those later in life and there may be no better way of helping individuals than with a combination of rehabilitation and fitness.

The Benefits

If you are recovering from an injury, heart attack, stroke, or various metabolic diseases and have been cleared by your physician and or your physical therapist, you may benefit from our specialty program. This program is specially designed to help you improve your cardiovascular fitness, endurance, and your muscular fitness. For most of you, the completion of hospital-based rehab doesn't necessarily mean you're ready to resume your activities at 100%. Many of you will need to do strength training with a Certified Personal Trainer who is qualified to work with post-rehab clients. Let us help you do it right the first time and minimize your chances of re-injury.

Our goal is to take over where your doctor or therapists left off with your treatment. We will work closely with them establishing the appropriate protocol and keeping them well-informed during your entire post rehab sessions.

How it works:

Have you been injured? Have you had some type of surgery? Has your insurance stopped paying for physical therapy, but you're not recovered yet? Do you have a special need? We can design a program to pick up from where physical therapy left off, or help you with your special need.

Reso-Care: the development and implementation of fitness and conditioning services for clients with special population-based and post-rehab disorders. Reso-Care does not purport to provide any aspect of medical treatment for a client’s condition. Reso-Care may provide the following services:

Fitness Assessments
Strength Training
Flexibility Training
Cardiovascular Training
Functional Conditioning
Weight Reduction

These six activities or services make up the post-rehab “scope of practice.”

Where are we?

Resolutions Weight Loss and Nutrition Studio in St. Matthews, Kentucky, offers an environment that is conducive to fitness and exercise through its Reso-Care division. Showers and bathroom facilities (handicapped-accessible) are also available. Resolutions has the flexibility to expand their facilities, if need be, to further assist a nursing home who would like to offer any of these services to its residents.

(Directions)

Our facility is ADA-approved and, of course, wheelchair accessible; we also have equipment especially designed for the comfort of our disabled clients.
