Greg Ryan’s fitness career began over twenty-five years ago as a personal fitness trainer in St. Joe, Michigan. In 1986, he won his first of many bodybuilding championships. That same year, he graduated with a associates degree in engineering and achieved his certification as a fitness instructor. Over the next decade, Greg established himself as a leading professional in the areas of nutrition, fitness and health club management.

In 1990, he relocated to Los Angeles, California, where his knowledge and enthusiasm attracted the attention of fitness guru Kathy Smith. She hired Greg to manage Mezzeplex, her state-of-the-art fitness complex. Over the next few years, Greg ran one of the largest personal fitness training programs in the country, catering to a number of high-profile clients such as Brooke Shields, Bridget Fonda, and Robert Downey Jr. Greg built a reputation for his expertise in exercise prescription and in the fall of 1992, he appeared on both the “Today Show” and “Good Morning America”.
In 1993, Greg relocated to Boca Raton, Florida, where he associated with tennis professionals Steffi Graf and Chris Everett. After a year of managing a fitness club, Greg returned to the Midwest to continue his education in Physical Therapy. His gifts of motivation and entrepreneurship led to the production of his own fitness television segment on a local FOX TV station in South Bend, Indiana. (Greg's Clips)
Looking for more challenges, Greg relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, and opened his first fitness and nutrition studio in 2001. As he worked with his clients, Greg saw a critical need to help people change their lifestyle behaviors and started a second company in 2004 called Resolutions. Resolutions specifically helps individuals with the psychology of losing weight. Since then, Greg has spun off four smaller intenties with the same Resolutions philosophy: Reso-Care.com, ResoTrainer.com, Gregryanfitness.com and ResoTraining (online personal training.)

Greg has authored a book series called “Changing from the INSIDE OUT” that focuses on the psychology of fitness and weight loss, and includes several books that address health issues such as cancer and diabetes. He has traveled to Europe to promote his book series in conjunction with his role as a health consultant for a wide variety of organizations and specialty markets. Greg continues to seek new venues for communicating the message that positive results in weight loss, general fitness, and sports conditioning are more about one’s approach and less about numbers on a chart. Currently, Greg lives in Louisville Kentucky.
