History

RESOLUTIONS was created 25 years ago out of the growing need for a common-sense approach to weight loss, fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Our mission is to help people determine HOW they are motivated, change the WHYs of their unwanted behaviors toward exercise, and develop a great support team through personal accountability. We believe that while this is often the road less traveled, it will be the path most people will have to take in order to overcome the crises facing them today, with the increase of disease and the rising cost of health care.

Philosophy

RESOLUTIONS insists on combining behavior modification with personalized fitness regiments, while others in the fitness and medical communities fail to address this connection. Our philosophy is based upon our motto, “It’s not about the numbers!” Feeling better about yourself, having confidence, and sticking with fitness programs aren't about how many charts you fill up, how much weight you lose, or how many calories you eat each day. In order to change your fitness levels, you have to change your behaviors and thinking patterns. You have to work on your fitness from the
Inside-Out

Fitness programs fail and most Americans' health continues to decrease because of their approach, not the programs. God knows we have enough fitness fads out there.

RESOLUTIONS understands that there is a connection between the psychology of human behavior and the practices of exercise and healthy eating. Until that connection is addressed, people will continue to get more and more out of shape. Getting healthy is not about the numbers, it’s about the heart!
